DJ Nixxie (aka Nik Carling) was born in 1972 and started out going out to raves back in the summer of love back in 1992, attending many of the bigger parties hosted by the likes of fantazia, obsession and universe, through to the smaller clubs in his area, golddiggers diehard & brunnels to name but a few, they just blew his mind away with the sheer scale of what was happening, the sound the atmosphere and the pure hedonism.

It wasn't untill 2000 he got the turntabilism bug and brought his 1st set of turntables where it was plain to see it was a hobby that was going to take over his life, when he wasnt working he would always be found over a pair of turntables mastering his technique, always prefering the techno sound over the more jungly genre, when he picked up his 1st turntables a fresh new sound was emerging into the club scene with hardhouse DJ's popping up & doing nights in his area, he went to many of these hardhouse nights to see what djs were doing with this sound and instantly got hooked.

He spent many an hour scouring record shops looking to buy the next roof lifter to please his friends, although he loves hardhouse, he also likes to play vocal house, hard trance and occasionally spins happy hardcore, he has played out a couple of times at local clubs where promoters got a monthly hardhouse promotion going, of which he was asked to be the warm up DJ.

Since those days Nik has grown a family and has tirelessly plugged away at internet radio to get a slot where he firmly believes is his avenue to get his music heard, he has done a few sets that have been aired on line and hopes to make it bigger and better through 2010 on MaxDance.
