Since our re-launch back in 2009 we have been growing and going from strength to strength. Our listener numbers during 2010 and especially 2011 have grown very fast, we have done NO paid advertising what so ever to get to where we are, our success is simply down to word of mouth, playing great music and no on-air adverts, offering the best possible experience for our listeners. This leads us to our main point with any sponsorship deal, we will not do any deal that requires us to have on-air adverts, we will strongly stand by this point, we are a non-stop music station, our listeners love this and we will not change our format. And of course, on-air adverts do not work on an internet only radio station, this has been proven in the past, due to the wide range of coverage We would sit down and discuss options and ideas as to where we can go with maXdance on a commercial, profitable level, currently we are non-profit and we are not a business, however it is our aim to be a commercially viable station in the future, however as pointed above we are very clear on not changing our formula in a way that offers a less than good experience for our users/listeners, all decisions will be made based on listener experience, after all there is very little point in having a sponsorship deal that brings funds in while we lose listeners because of the changes. We have very clear ideas as to what we would like to do as a station and they are currently: Looking at becoming a DAB Digital station, broadcasting on Sky (digital TV), grow our online user experience, grow our mobile applications and we are also looking to focus on maXdance TV (music tv channel playing music videos with a paid txt service for requests) and maXdance Recordings (record label, releasing only dance music). We have many ambitions, our aim, our focus will remain to reach them, we would love to work with a sponsor to reach these goals, bring maXdance to a wider audience, reach new people...maXdance offers a unique blend of dance music that is currently missing in the main UK market, major radio stations do not play the music selection we do, but rather focus on a selected few artists while ignoring the rest, we offer the full blend of dance music, users control the music via the online playlist & request system and we have great DJ's too, we can do much more and reach many more listeners with sponsorship, please contact us to discuss any ideas, to put your views to us, we are always open to discuss matters.
